Marty Gilman resides in Palm Beach, Florida and is a skilled performer on Hammond Organ, piano,  saxophones & flute. He is a graduate of the famed Berklee College of Music, where he studied piano with Ray Santisi and Dean Earl, and saxophone with Joe Viola,  Charlie Mariano and Andy McGhee.  He holds a Masters Degree in Education and has done post graduate studies in Spanish, as well.

Marty has extensive experience as a professional performer. R&B, Jazz, and Blues are specialties, but Marty has played it all,  from Baroque to the Avant Garde. He is a talented improviser,  and is also proficient at reading and arranging.  During his career,  
Marty has had the good fortune  to play with The TemptationsTommy James and the ShondellesChris Bruebeck, Jimmy Ruffin, June Christy, Ray Bloch, The Platters, as well as many New England groups such as The Pat Braxton BandThe BagatelleWilbur and the DukesThe Marty Gilman BandHerbieBlue Devil Bluez, and many, many more. 
Marty is the former Director of Music Education for the Oxford, MA Public Schools, and has taught in the Massachusetts State College system for more than twenty years.
Marty has appeared as a guest soloist on more than 20 CDs, and  is often called on to perform at festivals, concerts, clubs, and church services. Marty also plays guitar and bass, and has  studied guitar with Steve Cancelli, and was  cited in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette for the fine guitar work in the 2011 WCLOC production of Man of Lamancha. 

Marty has performed throughout Florida, New England and beyond, at such prestigious venues as Cheers, Scullers Jazz Club, All That Jazz,  The Acton Jazz Cafe, the DCU Center,  
Mechanics Hall, in Worcester, The Prudential Center, Faneuil Hall, Anthony's Pier 4, The Omni Parker House, The Ritz Carlton, Theodores Blues in Springfield, 264 The Grill in Palm Beach , Double Roads Tavern, a
nd many, many more.

Marty's most recent musical activities include:
